BofA to Face Charges by DOJ & SEC and 2 More Heavily Traded Stocks to Follow

Bank of America Corp. (NYSE:BAC): Current price $14.82

Bank of America said in its quarterly regulatory filing on Thursday that the U.S. Justice Department and Securities and Exchange Commission intend to file civil charges connected with “one or two jumbo prime securitizations.” What is more, New York state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office is also pursuing the Charlotte-based bank, in a case pertaining to Merrill Lynch and its inquiry of residential mortgage backed securities, according to the filing. The Commission is also mulling charges related to other filings against Merrill Lynch from its CDO investigation.

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F): Current price $17.49

On Thursday, August 15, Ford will conduct a meeting with sell-side auto analysts. Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Bob Shanks, and Vice President and Treasurer Neil Schloss will host the meeting, and will hold a question-and-answer session. The meeting will start at 8 a.m. Eastern Time, and end at about 9:30 a.m.

The Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE:KO): Current price $40.22

On Friday, Coca-Cola is holding back the Dow, is which is lagging the broader Dow index, with the stock down almost 1 percent 30 minutes to the close. Volume for the shares currently sits at 20.4 million shares traded, versus an average daily trading volume of 13.4 million shares. Coca-Cola has a market cap of around $177.68 billion, and is part of the consumer goods sector and the food and beverage industry. According to The Street, shares are up 10.6 percent as of Thursday’s close, with the stock’s dividend yield at 2.8 percent.
